Bike Month 2023 at QEIIMC saw high participation and engagement, with successful events and fully booked bike maintenance sessions. Due to demand, monthly sessions with the Bike Dr. will continue until June 2024, supporting the cycling community.
QEIIMC Trust's Bike Month 2023 was a tremendous success, marked by enthusiastic participation in Bike to Work Breakfasts on 2 and 4 October, despite challenging weather conditions. The community's response to cycling events and the maintenance sessions by the Bike Dr. was overwhelmingly positive, leading to fully booked slots throughout October. Recognizing the high demand, the Trust is excited to announce the return of the Bike Dr. for monthly sessions until June 2024, ensuring more opportunities for cycling enthusiasts to get their bikes serviced.
The Trust extends an open invitation to cyclists, both seasoned and aspiring, who may have missed the Bike Month festivities. To support cycling throughout the summer, the TravelSmart Junction at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital offers resources like reusable water bottles and sunscreen. This initiative reaffirms the Trust's commitment to promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation within the QEIIMC community.
