TravelSmart at QEIIMC

Getting to and around the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (QEIIMC) is now more convenient than ever. The QEIIMC Trust is rolling out digital kiosks to provide patients, visitors, and staff with 24/7 access to our services including:

  • An interactive wayfinding map to assist you in locating your destination
  • Information on Public Transport
  • Information on Parking at QEIIMC

Kiosk Locations within Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital

  • Main Entrance - opposite Patient Transport Services on E Street
  • Watling Walk North - outside the Western Australian Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service
  • Watling Walk Central - opposite the G Block entrance
  • Watling Walk South - opposite the Blue Lifts

Please note that Digital Wayfinding is currently only available for ground level locations at QEIIMC. So, if you are visiting wards G41-G75 search for G Block.

SmartRider Services

For those needing a new Transperth SmartRider or wishing to top up an existing card, visit Australia Post, located within the convenience store on the ground floor of E Block. Staff will assist with issuing new cards and adding credit to existing ones.

Bike Services & Corporate SmartRider Appointments

  • Bike Dr: Staff members can book their bike in for a free service with our bike mechanic who visits the QEIIMC once a month. Please note that places are limited due to high demand.
  • Corporate SmartRider: Eligible Department of Health employees can schedule an appointment with the TravelSmart team to obtain a Corporate SmartRider which offers numerous advantages including:
    • An 18.75% subsidy on travel expenses
    • A 20% auto-load discount from Transperth
    • Convenient travel to and from work
