Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
The QEIIMC Trust Sustainable Travel Support Scheme provides eligible staff with fully subsidised (free) public transport if they voluntarily give up their on‑site parking permit for a temporary period. The Scheme supports access to parking for patients and visitors during upcoming construction works.
As part of the Multideck Car Park upgrade, works will take place in Car Park 1, including construction of a new visitor‑only entrance via Hospital Avenue. A large portion of Car Park 1 will be required for a construction compound, resulting in reduced staff parking availability. The Scheme helps manage this temporary impact.
The Scheme is open to staff who currently hold a valid parking permit and meet the eligibility criteria. Participation numbers are limited.
Eligible staff who participate will receive fully subsidised (free) public transport for the duration of their participation in the Scheme.
